For nearly two decades, SF Music Day has welcomed audiences with open arms, offering a full day of free musical performances. However, due to a nationwide crisis in arts funding, this beloved event will now be ticketed for the first time, with prices ranging from $10-$20. Executive Director Crystal Pascucci-Clifford emphasizes that despite this change, a strong commitment remains to ensure accessibility; discounts and a no-one-turned-away policy will be in effect. “Arts funding across the country is in crisis,” she states, reflecting the broader challenges that arts organizations face today.
Honoring Community and Legacy
This year’s festival holds particular significance as it honors the late Sandy Wilson, a beloved cellist and co-founder of the Alexander String Quartet. Wilson’s legacy is woven into the very fabric of San Francisco’s music scene, and his spirit of creativity and community will resonate throughout the event. An Eclectic Lineup Awaits

In addition to these performances, an all-day jam session hosted by the Jazz in the Neighborhood JazzMobile House Band will foster spontaneous musical collaborations, culminating in a celebratory send-off session at 6 p.m.
